I recently quit drinking smoking and doing everything else but I am searching for something what should I do?
I went through some life changing events and I stopped drinking alcohol, smoking grass and even drinking coffee. My current girlfriend is very supportive but she is still a little jalouse of my x who is my friend and I rearly tolk to her. I am seeing a therapist once a month and have a very healthy lifestyle. I do cycling, I play a lot of soccer, I ski etc but sometimes my thought and anger is so strong and I also have thoughts that I am not sure what I am living for and do not have much to look forward to. I have no one in this country I can depend on. About my thoughts and so on. What do you think I should do to not be so angry and upset and easily irritated and have negative thoughts? I am completely against medication so do not even suggest that I would do it but what else can I do to improve my life. I have huge ambitions and I try to deminish them and live a normal life but I am still pretty unhappy with myself. My girlfriend even thought helps tremendously with finances doesn’t seam to be getting what she wants and is asking me for things like am I happy, why am I not happy etc. I know it sounds CRAZY, but I don;t know what I should do. Before I would just smoke something and didnt really cared about anything as much but I wount smoke anymore so what should I do. I really appreciate your thoughtful answer.

Maybe you should take a short trip somewhere by yourself. Sometimes when I feel like I can’t take it anymore, I just find an excuse to get away for a day or two.
You should also try finding a few books that will give you some escape. Maybe find a TV show on Netflix that you like. Anything to make you feel normal and give a chance to relax.
It’s probably not the drinking and smoking that make you happy, but rather something you associate them with. I know I like drinking because I generally have a good time with my friends while I’m doing it, so it’s my friends that make me happy, not really the drinking.
Just try to remember what it is that REALLY makes you happy in life and strive for that!

it sounds like you are active and motivated….and I think its great you quit all that stuff, thats awesome!….you play sports, keep active etc….but these are only things you do….they make your life enjoyable but they are not meaningful.
Sound like you are looking for some meaning in your life, or you want to progress to something new…if u love your girlfriend maybe ask her to marry you and start a family, if you are just in the relationship because you don’t want to be alone….maybe you need to ask yourself is this relationship what I really want, maybe this is not the right girl.
I’m not sure what to tell you….maybe you need to say a prayer and ask for some help, not sure if you have any religious background, but people usually believe in something, so try and say a prayer……or try this meditation thing…..sit in a room and just listen to your thoughts and ask yourself what do I want in life and I bet you will get an answer.
People can improve there life in so many ways, maybe try and do something nice for someone or volunteer, try it….when u start careing about others it will take your mind off yourself and you may figure out hey yea this is good….I like this, and it may lead your life in a different direction….wish you the best.

try not to thinking about smoking a lot, im doing the same thing for new years too but i dont smoke as much only like 3 to 5 cigarrets a day but when im gonna quit for an undetermined time i the day before i smoke as much as i can until i cant no more, until i get sick and then more, its unhealthy but it helps you realize why you are doing it and than later in life you are gonna feel just as sick without smoking that much of them, when you stop smoking the next day, brush your teeth everytime you think of a smoke if you are at your house, if not drink water, if you are at work try chewing gum and if you want to buy that nicotine gum buy it but just use it when you actually think you need nicotine cause you actually dont so thats for extremme stuff i would recommend usind that gum and also regular gum it tricks your mind a little, try working out or doing that requires heavy breathing and your lungs will start getting healthy again and they will reject future cig smoke, random advices but they work for some ppl, good luck…
